Vince Townrow
Vince is an industry veteran since 1980 with a passion for sailmaking, rigging, and marina service on both coasts with ownership of a successful independent sail loft in the Chesapeake Bay for 15 years. His specialty was focused on great customer service with custom individual solutions for customer problems.
Vince knows sail – both racing and cruising – with deliveries and yacht management on the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest. He participated as sailing captain in regional races on both coasts including the Vic Maui race. Of late Vince is enjoying racing a J105 with a class win in Race to the Straits and Boat of the Year for 2020 and 2021 at the local yacht club

- Started Sailmaking December 1980 at “Concord Point Sails and Rigging”
- Developed Cad Cam system for sail design and manufacture
- Developed ‘Lightning’ class’ sails
- Awarded with “Best of the Bay” by Chesapeake Bay Magazine for two years
- Started 2004 at Tidewater Marina – Biggest Hunter Dealer in the US
- Sailmaker at Ullman Sails 2013 to 2022.
- Westlawn Boat design course to exam 2
- Designated Sail Measurer for ORC
