A note from the current owner who purchased in 2015:

"Rufous is a great liveaboard, which I did from June 2019 to March 2020 (until Covid). I also sailed her during the summers of 2015-2019. The previous owner used her lightly. Before that, a retired commercial fisherman brought her from San Diego to Comax, BC. The retired fisherman invested over $80,000 on improvements to Rufous. I have invested over $35,000 to improve her. All of this work is documented onboard. I have been rewarded with wonderful summer sails, friend and family adventures. I will always remember the 25 knot winds and large swells that Rufous handled with ease. The bow sprit addition provides extra sail area to balance the boat in high wind conditions. She sails well in all conditions, but shines in winds over 18 knots. Her comfort ratio is at the top of bluewater chart comparisons."
