Such a gorgeous boat!  Do your research on the Luders 36.  Her sheer lines and proportions ooze "look back" appeal and she's known for excellent all conditions performance.  Yes, she sports a fair amount of exterior teak, however, her deck spaces and cockpit size will surprise you and the hard dodger will offer protection from our PNW conditions.

She was imported into Seattle in 1977, but her original owners soon moved her to the Sea of Cortez. They were fortunate enough to be able to live on her for about half of the year.  After a number of years, age caught up with them and they sold her to another younger couple who also lived aboard for six months at a time.  Their jobs changed and they shipped her back to the Pacific Northwest in the San Juan Islands in 2002. In 2003, they decided that northwest sailing was not their desire and the current owners bought her.  She was in excellent shape and they have worked to keep her that way.

They have sailed her throughout the San Juans and Puget Sound for the past 18 years and have made a number of improvements, including a diesel-fueled hydronic heat system.  A'Bientot has a fair amount of brightwork, and the current owners have made some changes to reduce the maintenance time without detracting from the beauty of the woodwork.  In 2020, dry rot was discovered in the mizzen mast and the mizzen mast was replaced.  At the same time, the main mast and both booms were refurbished and all of the standing rigging was replaced.
